Motion Picture 2014 Recap

Part 1 of a few

Adam Reynolds of Acentric Video pulled off another stellar video for Nicks Garage and Hot Rod Hill Climb!

The Vintage video is 8mm that was taken by Vern Holmes at the  1954 Hot Rod Hill Climb. The Aerial was taken by Bob Broom. Some of the vintage stills were taken by Pete Garramone. Thank you for getting on board with us.

Lindsey Fisher at Rod Authority

Lindsey Fisher wrote a wonderful article on the 2013 Hot Rod Hill Climb last year, and this year she did the same. These are some of my favorite photos she took for Rod Authority.

I was really excited to have Bob Marchese at the event, he is one of the original Strippers, the driving force behind the 1953 and 1954 Hot Rod Hill Climbs.

Over 600 feet of barricades, Sandwich Board Signs, Paint, Start and Finish Towers, Information Tower, they are coming to set-up the event too… thank these guys for the props!

Ardun, Cadillac Flat Head, Riley 4 Port, Offy

Yep, one guy owns them all!

Our friend Ron Bement built all four in his garage, and when I say built I mean machined all the parts! Ron is an amazing machinist and detail wizard!

Ron recently finished his Riley 4 Port Model A miniature motor, it only took 4 years to build.

We look forward to having him at the 2014 Hot Rod Hill Climb showing off these mini-marvels!

Our Friend Jess

Lindsey Fisher of Rod Authority wrote a really nice article on our friend Jessica MacKichan. Jess and her father John came to the Hot Rod Hill Climb last year with the Speedway Motors sponsored Hot Rod First-Aid tent, providing supplies like oil, shop rags, carb jets, etc for the participating Hot Rods.

Read the article about Jess here

John is bringing his 1931 Model A Roadster, it will have a Model B 4-banger engine with a Cragar head, and Halibrand quick change rear end this year.
